Cruise # 48- Lower Danube River Cruise in Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia & Hungary Onboard "Avalon Passion"- August, 2016

For our 11th River Cruise we sailed the Lower Danube which went through some Eastern European Countries. Definitely not the most scenic of Europe's Rivers (except for awesome Budapest!) so we wouldn't recommend it for your 1st taste of a Europe River Cruise but once you've done the others it's for sure an interesting part of the World to check out! Pretty much everyone who does this sailing spends at least 1 night in Bucharest, Romania but about 30% of us spent 3 nights there so we could take an excursion to Transylvania to see "Bran Castle" of Dracula fame. It was definitely an interesting place to visit and to learn about their famous legend but as it was a long 12hr day including almost 7hrs on the bus it may not be the best fit for everyone to fly in early for this tour.
