Cruise # 66- "Western Caribbean" Cruise onboard "MSC Meraviglia"- December, 2019
There's "MSC Meraviglia" which was our home for a week as we sailed around the Caribbean... with 4,500 guests onboard (over 5,000 when you count the rooms with 3 or 4 in the room) it's one of the biggest ships we've ever sailed on... and it was BUSY!!
We still loved our experience onboard since we stayed in a "Yacht Club' Suite (we'll explain more about that shortly) but all for that we don't think we would have enjoyed as the areas outside of the Yacht Club (restaurants, bars, pools, etc.) were constantly packed and it seemed like this ship had more kids onboard (and they let them in the clubs till late at night?) then any we've been on so it was noisy... except when we went to our quiet, exclusive, heavenly-like Yacht Club area which was the perfect refuge from the madness!! :-)
Some things to keep in mind... you HAVE to be open to an International crowd if you sail on MSC Cruises... MAYBE 20% of the people onboard were North Americans and spoke good English... don't get us wrong, everyone was nice but many times we'd try to talk to others in the elevator, etc. only to learn they didn't speak good English so we had a tough time communicating with each other!
EVERY-TIME an announcement was made (which means the announcements onboard are REALLY long!!) it was done in English, Italian, Spanish, German, Portuguese and French so that gives you a good idea of just how "International" the passengers onboard are!!
